The main theme for August is “Managing the Shi(f)t”.
The first part of the month requires great flexibility, acceptance, compassion, and resilience to deal with unexpected and sudden changes whether in yourself or in others. It may look grim at the beginning but we are moving forward into calmer waters that will provide more stability, inspiration, rational thought and clarity as we anchor ourselves into a brighter landscape.
Old emotional and habitual patterns are still bubbling to the surface for forgiveness and expulsion. We get to see where we have been wasting our energy on worry, regret and blame. Old habits of judgment, feeling powerless, victimized, and limited in what we can create have eroded our motivation and bred despair, anger, resistance and negative attitudes towards life. If you get stuck there, and are unwilling to let the past go and accept where the tide is moving, you will be miserable.
On the other hand, if you are willing to open to more trust in the positive and optimistic view of the big picture, you can completely turn anything negative and limited in your life around. The clearing of old trauma in any and many ways is a very useful practice this month. (There is a good exercise on the monthly support audio to help with the understanding and clearing of trauma or “susto”.)
This will require an open heart and the discipline of trust even though you may not have instant feedback from your prayers and intentions. There may be a lag time that tests you. You may not see or experience results that you are on the right track and you may need to go deep into your own intuition for confidence and confirmation. And, if you continue to come across obstacles and challenges along the way, look to what is not yet cleared in your field or where you are still holding on to something in your past, rather than how the universe may not be supporting you at this time.
Remember that in order to bring your vibration up and move to that next level, you need to make space. Creating space for the abundance available later in the month demands paying attention to your habitual reactions, habits and judgments so you can clear and change them to a better alignment.
The most important thing is to stay out of blame, especially when you are accommodating a change that you did not initiate. Acceptance and neutrality go a long way to ease the discomfort of this experience.
We are definitely in a transition time and a huge shift in consciousness and vibration.
Curiosity, optimism, creativity and humor should be a major part of the management team you build to navigate this month and the months to come. Take responsibility for your own shi(f)t, and stay in your own lane with regards to where others are in their own navigation. Once we get through the potentially cranky new moon on the 8th, we have our work cut out for us. If we do it well, there are many gifts awaiting us as we move into the last part of the month.
What is the “work”?
Courage to tell the truth. Courage to let go. Courage to forgive. Determination to trust. Discipline to stay out of blame. Compassion for yourself and others. Acceptance and cooperation regarding change not initiated by you. Keeping your vibration high no matter what through beauty, inspiration and strong spiritual practices. Staying in your own lane and out of other people’s drama and negativity. Trusting your intuition, your inner guidance, and having the courage to go for what is right for YOU. Taking full responsibility for your own shi(f)t.
How the rest of the month shows up:
Full moon in Aquarius is Friday, July 23 at 8:36 PM Mountain Daylight Time (MDT).
Also known as the “Buck Moon”, this full moon opens opportunities to challenge beliefs, habits, how we view ourselves, how we see others, what we are putting up with, our thoughts, emotions and actions. Don’t be surprised if you are somewhat triggered during this time and needing to deal with something distasteful that comes to the surface. On the other hand, you could be hugely inspired by some inner momentum to do things differently and make exciting changes in your life. Embrace eccentricity and unique individuality in yourself and others and, whatever else happens, stay out of martyrdom, blame and judgment.
There is freedom being explored and if you can be, think, and act a bit unconventionally, you will harness some of the gift of this moon. Just don’t go overboard and say or do something overly impulsive you will regret later. This is a highly creative time where thinking outside the box and coming up with inspiring innovative ideas and solutions and then sharing them with others will have long lasting effects.
And let’s not forget the fun! Laughter, humor and a bit of wild abandon can help lift you out of feeling less than exuberant about life.
Power Path/July Forecast
The main theme for July is “Two Steps Forward, One Step Back”
You may have a negative reaction to this theme, but actually two steps forward and one step back is exactly where we need to be right now. With new energy, enthusiasm and inspiration coming in, we are all champing at the bit to get going, get moving, and get productive. However, with every push forward, there is a need to look back at what needs to happen first. Whether it is a final forgiveness, a necessary emotional clearing, a completion of a karma, some physical detox, the release of relationship or other attachment, or simply just a need to take a second look at some plan before leaping into it, the step back is a necessary reflection to ensure the movement forward is truly aligned, balanced and something we want.
There is always great resistance to the step back as it feels like being held back against our will. The challenging obstacles that are up this month are Martyrdom (feeling victimized by the step back) and Impatience (the fear that the step back is losing us precious time and opportunity). Usually people fall into one or the other and many of you will experience both. We are also dealing with a bit of stubbornness as a resistance to letting go and embracing change.
Remember that with Martyrdom, there is always a choice and the choice this month should be to use the step back in a productive and proactive way. Use it to look at what needs completing or changing or releasing before moving forward, and then take the action that becomes clear to you. We have lots of support from community, guides and loved ones this month. We just need to ask for that support and then receive it gratefully and gracefully.
The step back also invites us to consider others in our desire to jump forward into the next thing. We are not doing this alone and it is not always about us personally. It will also be important to stay out of blame and resentment about the past as you are letting go especially of old emotional debris.
To deal with Impatience, one must first be in acceptance and non-resistance of the step back, and then trust in the right timing of things. With new clarity about direction, desire and personal needs, we can get truly irritated when we perceive we are being held back. If you find yourself in strife or struggle, stop and reset with the intention of allowing an unfolding and a natural flow of events rather than a forcing or pushing of action and movement. Your intentions should be dynamic and clear, and, once set, you should release them to your higher self to manifest in right timing.
The main thing to remember about this month is that the steps forward are going in the right direction. Just because there is a step back that may be irritating, it does not mean you are on the wrong path. Take advantage of the insights and opportunities for completions when you are in the back step. It is a final chance to look back into your past and clean it up before moving forward.
Here is an example: When you go to the market to buy new food, before you put it into your fridge, you should clean out what is old or spoiled before putting the new food in. If you don’t do that, eventually you will have less and less room for new food and the science projects will keep growing until you are forced to empty the whole fridge and start over.
The same thing goes for projects and relationships. If you want to start something new, look back to see what needs to be finished or resolved first. It may be communication or changing some behavior or perhaps restructuring the way you use your time and energy. If you have too much on your plate, especially unfinished business, you can’t possibly move forward into something new. This month will could bring some hard lessons around responsibility that you will not be able to ignore. So, it is best to take charge in a proactive way, paying close attention to that step back and doing what is required in order to keep moving forward.
There is powerful support this month for good emotional energy, neutral understanding, and the ability to trust what is good and positive. It will take discipline to stay optimistic but optimism is a key to keeping those steps forward moving in the right direction. We are building new containers this month for the future and dreams of a better life and a better world. This will not happen overnight, however, how you handle this month, especially the “step back” will influence where we go from here as a collective. So, stay positive, clean your fridge, your past and your old containers, and take advantage of what the back steps are offering to insure your steps forward are truly going in the right direction.
RIGHT NOW, those of us who are CHOOSING CONSCIOUSNESS are gathering our tools and training, trusting our intuition, and hoping that humans will make the great evolutionary leap toward a world that works for everyone.
Wherever this roller coaster takes us, we’re all in this together!
So here’s my BIG QUESTION for you today:
→ What are YOU Noticing?
- Are you sailing through feeling graceful?
- Are you seeing everything in the old paradigm that doesn’t work anymore?
- Is your body or mind struggling to make the leap?
- Are you feeling the tension of the widening gap?
Noticing can help us reach a place of equanimity no matter where we are on the journey… and wherever you are right now is perfect.
Notice. Trust. Breathe.
It is important to consider what we might know about ourselves and how we interact or respond in the ways we do, or what we perceive or believe about our own faith, theology, and identity. As we endeavor to live fully into this notion of belovedness, we must be introspective and self-aware, carefully uncovering and discovering our most authentic selves while staying connected to Spirit, utilizing the resources of prayer and other spiritual practices. This is the basis of how we live out our spirituality.

Full moon update for Thursday, June 24th from Power Path:
This is an optimistic time, and could be very prosperous if you can move through the challenges of the distractions of drama and ego-driven negative behaviors in yourself and in others that may crop up. Honesty, emotional vulnerability, humility and a good spiritual base are important foundational aspects for success during this time. It can be a very expansive time especially if you can harness the positivity and optimism. It is a good time to reflect on the containers of your life. What is too small, too big, completed etc. We have some good momentum to initiate the creation of some new containers for ourselves for this cycle.
One the one hand you have the excitement and inspiration of a new container and new possibilities for expansion and partnerships. On the other hand, you may have the personal challenges of self doubt and sifting through some of the negative aspects of your personality that may get in the way of truth and clarity of intention. Even though the energy is moving more freely now, there is still some residual tension around restrictions, delays and right timing. Be patient, enjoy the process, love your friends and community, have a little gratitude, be creative.
New Moon in Gemini with an annular solar eclipse is Thursday, June 10 at 4:52AM Mountain Daylight Time (MDT).
This is a time of many possibilities on the table, many doors opening, and some closing. It is a good time for a fresh start whether inspired by an intention or forced by a change from the outside. In whatever way this open door has shown up, view it as a positive chance for change.
This moon does come with some mental confusion and a tendency for delusion, deception and uncertainty. Trust your heart instead of your mind and remember to be vigilant about details and communication as well as being patient with technology and delays as Mercury is still retrograde. If there is tension, use it as an energy for progress rather than irritation and frustration. Be open to something new and stay out of resistance to anything unexpected. This is truly a time of great potential if you can keep your thoughts, intentions and focus on the positive instead of worrying about the negative what ifs. When in doubt turn your attention towards beauty, gratitude and all that is good in your life. https://thepowerpath.com
by Lena Stevens
The main theme for June is “SHAKE UP”.
We are in a destabilized time of mental confusion, frustrations around what no longer works, and tremendous opportunities to approach our lives in a new way. Post last month’s powerful full moon and eclipse, we are also in a learning and integration period where we must look back to see and acknowledge what we have left behind that is no longer available to us. Do so with gratitude and faith. No regrets. We have crossed the bridge and there is no going back.
This month there is internal shake up and external shake up. Internal shakeup is the shakeup of belief systems, your life as you once knew it, identity shifts, emotional challenges of dealing with confusion, change, doubt and trust. External shake up includes literal earth shaking, as in earth quakes and other environmental intensities, unexpected political decisions affecting greater communities and even countries, sudden losses, sudden gains, spontaneous opportunities, some doors closing, some doors opening, and the effects of other people’s decisions and changes on your life as you know it.
The internal shake up requires you pay attention to your own truth and what is important as you adjust and adapt to a new landscape. The external shake up requires patience, understanding, resilience, community efforts and trusting in right timing. There is an aspect this month of cooperation, sharing with others and collaboration that is key to starting the rebuild of a new foundation for our collective future.
You will feel the need to find balance between personal alone time to integrate your own process, and community time to inspire each other with the possibilities and opportunities for growth and advancement. It is a great time of learning together and coming up with new ways of righting social injustice without going into great conflict and strife. Watch the tendency in yourself and in others for blame, righteousness, and the seduction of violence and revenge, especially in the first week of this month. Until the new moon on the 9th, we are in a volatile and potent window between 2 eclipses. This is energy that should be used wisely to jump start a creative project instead of engaging in hate, war and conflict.
The best advice for this month is to stay out of resistance to the process as well as any outcome. If you are holding on to an expectation about how things will turn out, it is best to release that attachment so you can take advantage of what is coming available in the opportunities you may not yet be aware of.
If you can stay neutral and out of resistance, you will become more resilient and adaptable to what is already happening. Change is here. Get with the program or get left behind.
As we approach the solstice and the latter part of the month, we shift our focus to family, home, love, beauty, ease, support and what nurtures us.
Take a deep breath of vitality and goodness and blow out all the stress of the past with a deep commitment to enjoy your life no matter what.
The new Moon in Taurus is Tuesday, May 11
It is a good time to examine our stability and what keeps us grounded from within instead of from the external world. This is also a very good moon time to work with the earth, to fertilize and empower new growth, ideas, projects and intentions. You can also focus on health, the body, self-esteem, self-expression and inner truth. Who are you?
Take some time today and just allow the earth to hold and support you. If a project or a part of your life feels ungrounded or challenging, ask to be supported in ways you have not allowed before. Call on your spirit guides and allies and give them something specific to help you with. See what happens.
M O O N
This can manifest as a difficult moon as aspects of wanting more freedom to move forward meet with limiting influences and hard work.
Resiliency and flexibility are very helpful during this time especially around unexpected changes, events, reversals and decisions. Be careful with being impulsive.
Put some practical thought into any important choices around changing or adjusting anything major in your life. Take this opportunity to tap into your own wisdom as well as to find a new courage for those changes you do want to make.
You may experience an inner tension that brings up any imbalance you feel around time – how you spend it, how you use your energy etc.
Use this full moon time to take an inventory of what you value so you can set intentions and get support around what is most important to you. We are all ready to move on, to go forward and experience more freedom.
And yet we are being pulled back to take yet another look at what needs to change, to be healed and to be released.
So, be patient, ask what can be healed, and do the work so you can move into the future from a solid and practical foundation and not one built on impulsive behavior. ~Lena
The full Moon in Scorpio is Monday, April 26 at 9:33 PM Mountain Daylight Time
The New Moon in Aries is Sunday, April 11 at 8:30 PM Mountain Daylight Time (MDT)
This moon brings up the physical body, the condition of your health, re-evaluation of the structure of your self-care, and a reflection of what needs to change in your daily organization of life. Be sure to take some time to reflect and evaluate. The dynamic energy of this new moon will give much fuel and ignition to any changes and choices you make for improvement however it can also trigger negative reactions, impatience and irritability as you face uncomfortable truths and challenges. Don’t take your discomfort out on others and remember to be kind no matter what.
Make sure not to make decisions out of fear or being pressured by others. Take your time, check in with your own intuition and what feels right. A new moon always supports personal decisions that must include your own timing, not pressured by others.
There is a part of us during this volatile and dynamic time that wants to see justice around what was done to us and how we have suffered either personally or collectively in the past. There is potential anger and attitude towards righting the wrongs and our personalities would love to see the alleged perpetrators go up in flames. However, the responsible and mature thing to do is to forgive the past, let go of your attachment to suffering and harness this fiery, creative energy to move yourself forward in the most positive way.
The Spring Equinox is Saturday, March 20th, at 3:37 AM MDT.
This is the time when daytime and nighttime are equal all over the world. It also represents an equal balance between the sun and the moon, the masculine and the feminine. We are shifting from Pisces and landing on this equinox in the sign of Aries.
The equinox offers an opportunity to release the old and bring in the new with an emphasis on balance. This is a time of initiating a new self, a new expression and a new experience. What do you want your life to feel like? What is out of balance and needs to be trimmed? Are you in balance with your doing and your being, giving and receiving?
Do some work especially on Friday evening right before the Equinox to identify what is out of balance in your life. Write it or draw it, then burn or bury it with offerings of tobacco or sage or incense. Then take some time to express what you want and how you wish to feel with your life in balance. You can write these intentions down, share them with others, put them on your altar or somewhere you can be reminded of them daily.
This is a potent equinox as we are imprinting how we wish this new cycle to manifest.
Do your part, for yourself and for the planet. How do you want to feel when you read the news every morning?
This is not about the physical things and structures you think need to change, but more about shifting the emotional foundation from which we out-picture our reality.
‘Let the farthest, oldest, most ancient
ancestors speak to us!
And let us be listeners at last, humans
finally able to hear.’
Mercury will be in apparent retrograde motion during:
- January 30 to February 21
- May 29 to June 22
- September 29 to October 23
Three or four times a year, the planet Mercury is said to go retrograde — that is to say it moves in an opposite direction to planet Earth. Planets move from east to west around the sun, and when Mercury turns to move from west to east instead, that’s when Mercury is in retrograde.
Illusion or not, astrologers believe when it happens, Mercury retrograde has an effect on life here on Earth, specifically within the realm of communication and technology. In astrology, Mercury governs communication, travel and learning.
To get through:
- Take a deep breath; this won’t last forever.
- Slow down, take your time and pay attention to details.
- Take care of anything that requires reevaluation and revision; this is a good way to channel this energy positively.
- Do you need to heal something from the past or connect to someone from the past? This is a good time to do it. This phase gives us a chance to retrace our steps and go revisit old ground.
- Observe, review and release. Remember to breathe!
We might have just kicked off a new year, a time we tend to think of as ripe for progress and plowing ahead, but the planets have a different game plan in mind. Well, one planet in particular: the messenger planet, Mercury, which will soon begin its first retrograde of 2021 in fixed air sign Aquarius, symbolized by the Water Bearer. From January 30 through February 20, the ruler of communication, transportation, and technology will appear to move backward through the sky.
The Push-Pull of the month can leave us confused, irritated, reactive and depressed. We may judge that things are not happening fast enough or smoothly enough especially during the first 3 weeks when Mercury is retrograde. We can be impatient with ourselves and with others, and we can be stubborn as we hold on to past attachments of old dreams, intentions and expectations. Consider all the structures that have been forced to be flexible during the pandemic.
They will likely never go back to the way they were.
We are being offered an opportunity to go inward, and to reevaluate our attachments and do some work to actively release them.
We also have the opportunity to embrace and accept change as it shows up. Be open to right timing and accept circumstances just the way they are. Being present, neutral, and available is the best way to manage and navigate these times as there are many unknowns and nothing is predictable except change itself.
The main theme for January is “Start Up”.
“We are in a new time, a new landscape, a new sun (according to Toltec wisdom), a new vibration and frequency, and completely new potential and opportunity for a whole new experience of life. This month we look at new containers, new support systems, new attitudes and beliefs, and new ways we can create a start-up for ourselves
A “start-up” is different than a re-start as it implies something brand new rather than re-starting something that is already existing. Instead of replacing just the battery in an old car and restarting it, we are actually in the market to buy a new car, an upgrade for the old one that no longer serves us well. We are stretching ourselves to be able to have this upgrade, to feel worthy of it and to trust that the resources will be there to support it.
The start-up this month is not unlike this analogy. We are in a completely different time with different energy and the potential for completely shifting everything. We need to release the old structures we have been re-starting over and over and allow ourselves to go to the next level and bring in something new and improved. This is scary and exciting at the same time. A start-up comes from a new idea, needs a new container and a new support system. It requires a new brand, new organization and a new set of intentions. And it requires a deep inner trust as you take the risk into something new. Even if you keep the details of your life much the same, it is important to infuse your daily routines with a change that allows for something different.
The most significant start-up will come from within. As we have entered into an artisan time of huge creativity, it will come with some chaos, a necessary side product of dissolving old structures. Sometimes you have to turn old things upside down to see your way through them to something new. This new sense of self and of how you perceive the world need to be seeded from the inside. We are shedding the skins of old personal and societal imprints, and stretching our wings in freedom to make choices from within about who we are, what we want, and whom we want to be with.
If you were to create a business start-up, you would first come up with a new idea. Then you would build a container around this idea and bring in the necessary support, your team of allies and experts to help you create the foundation and structure of your start up. The energy this month is not dissimilar to a business start-up except the start-up is related to your own life and your personal expression of it. The conscious co-creation of this start-up requires a balance between allowing inspiration, clarity and support to come to you, and proactively creating what you are clear about and wish to manifest. How do you build a good container for your start up? You make sure that you bring in all the elements that will support you in the best way possible.
The key to all of this is that the creativity comes from within, the inspiration comes from within, the desire comes from within, the clarity comes from within, and the intuition that you are on the right track comes from within. This is not to say that you cannot have confirmation from the outside. You will receive plenty of signs when you are on the right track. Pay attention to them and trust.
Adventure is one of the primary needs for this year and a supportive energy for taking any kind of a risk. Your personal start-up may feel like a risk. Look at it as an adventure as you navigate this new landscape. Even if you experience road blocks along the way, know that any change comes with a bit of chaos and destruction. If an old structure is dissolving, don’t resist its demise. Know that there is a new creation wanting to burst forth from the vacuum.

January 28: Full Moon in Leo is Thursday, January 28 at 12:18 PM Mountain Standard Time. (MST)… “Wolf Moon.”
The New Moon in Sagittarius with a total Solar Eclipse (seen in parts of South America and Africa) is Monday, December 14th at 9:16AM Mountain Standard Time (MST).
This is a tricky new moon, magnified by the solar eclipse but really good for spiritual prayers and work.
The positive aspects are the potential for an uplifting of energy and vibration into an experience of great unity, spiritual connection and personal clarity of action. The negative aspects and ones to watch out for include delusion, addictions, despair and a very confused and foggy mind.
Work with your spiritual practices even though they may not be focused on anything solid or particular. Prayers for improvement may be enough. The practice itself will give you a sense of purpose and grounding. Work with the sun as the powerful masculine that works with the feminine aspect of the moon.
Do what you can during this powerful time to become clear on your actions and inspired by your imagination and your intentions. Put boundaries against others’ delusions and projections and watch your own. You may want to spend some quality time by yourself, out in nature if you can, or at least in a place where you feel supported and nurtured with little interference from others.
Think of this time as the completion of some chapter in your life and allow what is dissolving to release. Make space for something new.
Be patient and trust the great and indelible solitude at work in you. This will be a nameless influence in all that lies ahead of you to experience and accomplish, rather as if the blood of our ancestors moves in us and combines with us, in the unique, unrepeatable being that at every turn of life that we are.
Dec. 26, 1908
Full Moon in Gemini with a penumbral lunar eclipse is on Monday, November 30 at 2:29AM Mountain Standard Time (MST).
Use this time to honor change and to focus on what you wish to dream up for yourself for the future. Despite what might be happening around you or in the greater collective, you can take some space to feed your own container with the energies that will better support you. Think of infusing your intentions with inspiration, beauty, determination, optimism, progress and anything that brings your experience of life to a higher level.
Make sure you do whatever you can to stay out of fear as fear will take you down into a very negative place where you can easily lose your direction and land in an uncomfortable fog.
Eclipses always potentiate the full and new moon times and give an extra boost of energy to whatever is happening in your life as well as your personal intentions. So engage in something positive and be disciplined about lending your creative optimism to the future.
We are moving into a very active time where you will need to pay close attention to your personal direction, your truth, your trust and your discipline.
A penumbral lunar eclipse occurs when the Sun, Earth, and the Moon are imperfectly aligned. When this happens, the Earth blocks some of the Sun’s light from directly reaching the Moon’s surface and covers all or part of the Moon with the outer part of its shadow, also known as the penumbra.
The Moon in Gemini person has a light touch socially and has an instinct for putting others at ease. Air sign Moons have a way of relating that’s spacious, with lots of room for fresh ideas.
Born with the Moon in Gemini, you are likely to be a curious individual, with an active, versatile mind. Gemini is an Air sign, governing communication, the exchange of information or ideas, and the protocols with which social organization occurs.
Accordingly, you may find that you have an innate need to know as much as possible about the world around you, and may have a talent for numbers, speech or the written word.
This is the Harvest Moon of the year and it starts the month off with extroverted passion. What are your dreams? What do YOU want to manifest? An inner fire is lighting up your personal desires and prompting you to be more assertive in speaking your mind. Nevertheless, don’t forget to be kind and to seek harmony and balance in your interactions at the same time. Diplomacy goes a long way to establish cooperative alliances and keep relationships in good alignment.
This is a good opportunity to test your ability to compromise without giving up something personally important. Take action towards a meaningful intention or project even if it is a baby step. Inaction will only cause frustration and physical irritation. If the energy feels too intense, remember to move your body to discharge it. Balance your time between personal alone time and being with others. It is also important not to procrastinate with regard to the priorities on your list. Getting things done and making progress will give you confidence and satisfaction.
A harvest moon supports being in gratitude and sending blessings for all the things we are truly grateful for in our lives.
October Forecast from Power Path
The main theme for October is “Keep Going… No Matter What”
One of the big issues this month is the processing of grief and loss. Anything can trigger this, and if you do get triggered through something you feel is insignificant, see it as the trigger that ripped the scab off the wound so you can finally clean and heal this deeper wound for good. This could involve ancestral patterns, past lives, your personal past as well as the collective collection of karmic trauma, misery, injustice, and deep wounding of both the masculine and the feminine. We need to remember in these times of intensity, that spirit never hands us more than we can handle.
If we can “keep going, no matter what”, we will be that much stronger in our own truth and resolution, courage and conviction. We will be able to hold our ground, speak up for our rights, whether at work, home or socially, and be more confident in who we are, what we want, and what we will and won’t do.
This is truly an interesting, challenging, and transformative time where we as a collective will continue to dismantle the old structures of injustice, inequality, limitation, debt, dishonesty and competition, making room for something balanced and better to emerge in the future. This is happening on all levels: physically, emotionally, spiritually and mentally.
As if 2020 isn’t weird enough, it’s a year with 13 full moons rather than 12 — and two of these will occur this month.
The second full moon of the month will be the Blue Moon which will shine in the sky on Halloween. The last time a full moon happened on Oct. 31 in all U.S. time zones was 1944.October’s first full moon is the harvest moon on October 1, and the second full moon will occur on October 31. That’s right: a full moon on Halloween.
Ketchum, Idaho on Tuesday evening, September 15th. Smoke from the wildfires in California, Oregon and Washington has settled in Idaho.
The Department of Environmental Quality iAir quality is currently ‘unhealthy’ for sensitive groups.
When air quality is unhealthy, persons may experience health effects and should limit prolonged or heavy exertion and limit time spent outdoors. The general public is unlikely to be affected.
Voluntary burn ban for residential wood burning activities is in place.
The New Moon in Virgo is Thursday, September 17 at 5:00AM Mountain Daylight Time
This New Moon in Virgo challenges us to get organized with our thoughts and intentions.
It challenges us to focus on clear practical communication and to take responsibility for the details of our lives.
It is time to get ready for the slow but steady crawling out from under intense change and to use the energy for solid transformation as the momentum builds.
It is important to keep your eye on the lofty goals for the future but not to get lost in the illusion or fantasy of what is true right at the moment. Keep your tasks practical and grounded, and keep going, putting one foot in front of the other, no matter what.
This is an important equinox as we ask ourselves, “what’s the plan?”. Instead of waiting for more clarity, work with what you have and set some practical intentions (always subject to change) for yourself. The most important lessons during this time are the ones that show you clearly what you do not want to dream up or manifest for yourself.
Take an inventory of what has not worked for you in the past, what you are complete with in your life, and give it all over to the West with great gratitude for being part of your container up until now.
You may not have the whole picture of where you are headed however you can begin to organize your energy by focusing on what brings you joy right now in these times and go from there. Beware of the mental quagmire of thoughts, anxieties and worries that have you spinning in circles. You cannot manifest a good future from the place of “too many thinking”.
The best way to use the Equinox is to practice gratitude, to focus on love and do something higher centered that gives you joy, preferably in nature.
[And wear your mask.]
The Equinox is Tuesday, September 22 at 7:31AM Mountain Daylight Time (MDT).
‘This moon is good for grounding, generosity, courage and the support needed to show up in your life in a bigger way. We are all striving for more; becoming more powerful, wise, accomplished, conscious, successful, satisfied, happy and fulfilled. Allow this full moon to feed your self-confidence so you can be all those things.
Forgive all the times you have been hard on yourself for the illusion of “not doing it right”.
Take in as much sunlight as possible and honor the masculine in yourself, the quality of taking action, and the ability to manage your energy in a productive way.
In this surge of energy, you may experience things feeling a bit out of control and it may be easy to get irritated and impatient especially around a process you have no control over, such as traffic or weather or other peoples issues. Stick to your own sense of management, stay in your own lane, and don’t get caught up in any drama that is taking place “out there” or with others. Your best service is being a grounded focused example of stability in the midst of turmoil and chaos.’ -Power Path
‘Still I Rise’
‘Nevertheless, she persisted.’
Right at the cusp of July and August, this new moon encourages us to reclaim our power, joy, self expression and personal truth. It is not so much a time for new ideas and insights but rather a time to simply be in gratitude for who you are and to get really full of your own self love.
We are entering a time of reset and re-alignment. Get a head start with this new moon and set some intentions for better self care, more balance, quality time to do what fulfills you, and a commitment to put more energy into your own purpose other than the purpose of others. Find your inner flame and breathe a spark of it into your own creativity, enthusiasm and well-being.
New Moon is Wednesday, July 31st at 9:11pm Mountain Daylight Time
