The Reclusive Hedge-Fund Tycoon Behind the Trump Presidency
How Robert Mercer exploited America’s populist insurgency.

“Robert Mercer now owns a sizeable share of the United States Presidency.
Mercer’s influence has been huge .He’s not the first person in history to use money in politics, but in my view Trump wouldn’t be President if not for Bob. It doesn’t get much more effective than that.”
RUNNING FOR OFFICE
The will of millennials did not prevail this election cycle, as seen in the map that went viral showing that if millennials alone decided the outcome, Hillary would have won.
So the question now is: What can we do about it?
One of the biggest and boldest actions is for more millennials to actually run for office.
- Know why you’re running
- Build your own team
- Hone your message
- Constantly seek feedback, including from people who disagree with you
- Yes, money matters
- Prepare for it to be all-consuming
- Getting the media’s attention isn’t easy
- Credibility is transferable
- You have to really, truly believe you will win
- Don’t let people discourage you
What will we do and what lengths will we go to, what collective imagination will we employ, what mighty love will we summon to ensure the ending of this violence, this hate, this destruction of our mother earth, this grotesque inequality of wealth, this mad and ferocious drive to our end?
Here’s what Donald Trump is not:
He is not us.
He is not all of us.
He is not the best of us.
He is not inevitable.
Let us take Trump at his word. Let him be our Unifier.

‘Senate backs bill to ease presidential transitions…
The Senate has given final approval to a bill intended to improve presidential transitions.
The bill requires the White House to create a team of officials from different agencies at least six months before Election Day.
That team would develop ways to help smooth the transition from one president to the next.
The bill is heading to President Barack Obama.’
(Seems to have been fairly seamless over the past 229 years.)
Koch Brothers Considered Launching Anti-Trump Campaign
The Daily Beast
Billionaire industrialists Charles G. and David H. Koch allegedly considered forming an anti-Donald Trump campaign. According to a Tuesday report in The New York Times, the Kochs had “preliminary conversations” about using their respective financial networks to undermine the insult-spewing Republican’s candidacy. Hedge-fund billionaire Paul Singer has reportedly also had similar discussions. Both parties, however, have balked at the idea out of reluctance to incur the infamously vicious Trump’s public wrath. “You have to deal with Trump berating you every day of the week,” an anonymous strategist linked to both groups explained to the Times.
The Power Path
“(There) are enormously complex questions and there are no simple answers. However the more we know about soul age and people’s needs at the different stages of development the better we can serve their needs and support good decision making that will provide for each in turn.
…we find ourselves in world where discoveries are being made fast and furiously to the degree that our entire view of history and what has happened on this planet is being called into question in a serious way. This is further undermining a sense of stability for so many people. Populations are shifting, political parties are unpredictable, economies are on the move, and technologies are changing our lives faster than at any time before.”
